'''Jill Thwaites''' now lives pleasantly just across from the sea in the North-east of England, but was born in a [[The Shire|Shire]]-like location out in the country. She had been neglecting art in favour of writing until she was suddenly introduced, via [[Peter Jackson]]'s [[Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings|films]], to the amazing and wondrous world of [[J.R.R. Tolkien|Tolkien]]. Now drawing is all consuming - inspiration for it is tremendous and endless - and she is rarely without a pencil in her hand. Some of her drawings have appeared in [[Amon Hen journal|''Amon Hen'']] and [[Mallorn journal|''Mallorn'']], she has had work displayed at [[Tolkien 2005]] and [[Oxonmoot]], as well as at a bookshop in Cornwall, and she has been doing work to be featured online for Michael Kennedy of the Tol Harndor smial in Australia.
