History

Narvi lived in Khazad-dûm during the height of its glory. He formed a friendship with the Elf-lord Celebrimbor, the master artificer of neighboring Eregion. Together they made the mighty Doors of Durin that guarded the West-gate of the Dwarven city.[1][2]
He was a very famous Dwarven craftsman.[3]
Etymology
In drafts of The Lord of the Rings, Tolkien used the spelling Narf[i].[4] Narfi (also spelled Narvi), is an Old Norse name and character appearing in the Prose Edda and the meaning of the name is unknown.[5]

2024: The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power:
- Narvi is introduced to the Amazon series in the second episode of the second season. He is portrayed by Kevin Eldon.[6] Narvi is depicted as an influencial Dwarf of Khazad-dûm who contributes to their developing alliance with the Elves, culminating with the reveal of the Doors of Durin.
