Ordulus[1] was a young Elvish Archer who fought in the Battle of the Hornburg.
Ordulus is an original creation for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers film.
History
Ordulus was a young Elvish Archer. It was said he always had an arrow nocked and a full quiver.
When the Rohirrim, under leadership from Théoden King, retreated to the Hornburg in Helm's Deep, Saruman the White sent an army of over ten thousand Uruk-hai to assail them. When Lord Elrond of Rivendell and Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn of Lothlórien heard of this, they decided to honour the ages-old allegiance between Men and Elves. They sent a join force of Elves, led by Haldir, to assist the Rohirrim in their battle against the Uruks. Ordulus was part of this force sent to the Hornburg.
Ultimately, Haldir and the rest of the Elven reinforcements were slain during the Battle. Their efforts were not in vain, however, as the few Rohirrim left alive were able to hold out until Gandalf arrived with Éomer's Éored and forced the Uruks to retreat into the forest, where they were killed by Huorns.
