To User:Dour1234: Lungorthin only appears in 'The Lay of the Children of Hurin' written in 1920s - at that time in Tolkien's life, he did not yet develop the concept of Maiar, and he most certainly did not envision balrogs as being Maiar, therefore it is inappropriate to apply the label of 'Maia' to Lungorthin.
