Year of the Trees 1075 (abbreviated to Y.T. 1075) is the 1075th year of the Trees in the First Age of Arda. Year of the Trees 1075 was also V.Y. 4575 in Valian Years.
Notable events in this year include:
- An alternate date for the Awakening of Men, the Secondborn Children of Ilúvatar, in Hildórien, according to the Round World version of The Silmarillion.[1][note 1]
Notes
- ↑ In this particular conception, J.R.R. Tolkien moved the date of the Awakening of the Elves to Y.T. 1000, as opposed to Y.T. 1050 in accordance with the timeline from The Annals of Aman and The Grey Annals, while the length of a single Valian Year here was equal to 144 solar years (which is the length of a yén, an Elvish 'long-year'). This means that the race of Men existed upon Earth for 61,510 solar years by the time of the arrival of the Edain to Beleriand in Y.S. 310.
