Charles Raymond Henwood (1937[1] - August 26 2019)[2] was a Welsh-born Kiwi actor[1] who portrayed Erland[3][4] in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and the Old Fisherman in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
Henwood also portrayed a Professor in director Peter Jackson's film Heavenly Creatures.[5]
