Plot
The game follows the the first part of The Fellowship of the Ring, beginning the Shire during Bilbo's Birthday Party and progressing through Bree and Rivendell. The game ends with a fight between the Fellowship and the Balrog in the Mines of Moria.[1]
Although the game is entitled "The Lord of the Rings, Vol. 1", no sequel was ever released due to poor reviews.
Reviews
Reception of the game was largely negative, and it was widely criticized for its meandering gameplay and "lengthy and boring" fetch quests[2]
Based on 24 reviews of the game at GameFAQs.com, the game received an average rating of 4.875 out of 10.[1] Many reviewers cite the game's structure and poor A.I. which causes characters to wander off, get stuck in scenery, and die. It was also criticized for its large and labyrinthine environments, causing players to get lost and not know what their next objective was.
