The Gateway was a short roadway from the Great Gate of Minas Tirith that led into the Pelennor Fields. On 1 May T.A. 3012[1] Aragorn halted a furlong from the walls of Minas Tirith at the start of the Gateway before advancing to be crowned King of Gondor.[2]
Portrayal in adaptations
2007: The Lord of the Rings Online:
- The Gateway runs for only a short distance before splitting into two roads leading towards the northern and southern gates of Rammas Echor.
