Map in The Art of The Lord of the Rings?

This page seems to refer to two sections on page 966 in the 50th anniversary edition of the chapter The Steward and the King in RK, which start with "Now the Captains of the West ... And so they came before the Gateway and halted a furlong from the walls. As yet no gates had been set up again, but a barrier was laid across the entrance to the City, and there stood men at arms in silver and black with long swords drawn." and "So now there was a wide space ..." as the only references for the assumption that the "Gateway" is a road outside of the Great Gate of Minas Tirith. Are there any more detailed maps drawn by J.R.R. Tolkien, which were published in The Art of The Lord of the Rings or in any exhibition that confirm that the term Gateway is not just a synonym for the Great Gate of Minas Tirith, but a name for a road in front of the the Great Gate in the Pelennor Fields? In other instances where the term gateway (withouht a capital G) is used in the context of Moria, Caras Galadhon, Helm's Deep or The Tower of Cirith Ungol, it just seems to be a synonym for the respective gate. Without any further sources the content of this page is very speculative and the value of having this page at all seems doubtful. The Thain's book, the Encyclopedia of Arda or henneth-annun.net or The Lord of the Rings A Reader's Companion do not contain any information about the "Gateway".
