Alcarin[1] was a Knight of Gondor who celebrated Boromir's retaking of Osgiliath.
Alcarin is an original creation for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers film.
History
Alcarin was born in Lamedon during the Third Age. He was named after the King of Gondor Atanatar II, who used the epithet Alcarin, meaning "glorious". At some point, Alcarin was scarred on the right side of his face. Determined to prove himself in battle, Alcarin became a Knight of Gondor.
Boromir, son of the Steward of Gondor Denethor II, retook Osgiliath from the forces of Mordor. Following his victory, he held the flag of Gondor and delivered a speech to the Gondorian warriors. When Boromir proclaimed "Let the armies of Mordor know this: Never again will the land of my people fall into enemy hands!", Alcarin raised his right fist and cheered with his fellow soldiers. Boromir yelled "The City of Osgiliath has been reclaimed for Gondor!" and the soldiers, including Alcarin. raised their right fists and cheered "For Gondor!"
