anto is a noun meaning "mouth" in Quenya.[1]

Anto is also the name in Quenya of the thirteenth letter of the Tengwar alphabet.[1] It is the first letter of the fourth grade or Tyellë, which contains "voiced spirants" and it is the fourth letter in the dental or t-series of consonants, the Tincotéma.[2] In the standard spelling of Quenya Anto represents NT.[1] In all other modes this letter represents DH (or "voiced" TH).[2] The Westron name for this letter is Adho.[3]
