In Middle-earth Role Playing, Chey Sart was grasslands region surrounding the black-peaked volcano Ulk Chey Sart, to the west of the Ered Harmal mountains and Khand.
It was the center of the Chey culture, as well as the kingdom of Ren the Unclean.[1]
History
After a plague in S.A. 1998 left illusionist Ren with a twisted mind, he dubbed himself Fire King and Son of Ulk Chey Sart. Gaining followers, he had subjugated the Chey territories by S.A. 2000. Unbelievers among the Chey tribes were purged.[2]
The First Chey Expansion (S.A. 2155-2693) saw the Fire King expanding his empire into to the lands of Dalpygis, Khargagis Ahar, Heb Aaraan, and Orgothraath. The Second Chey Expansion (S.A. 2899-3261) then expanded into Vaag, Acaana, and western Gaathgykarkan. With the help of the Variags of Ûvatha, Ren also conquered the the rest of Kargagis Ahar and Rycolis.[2]
After the War of the Last Alliance, the empire waned and split back into tribes. The Chey often faced Variag and Nûriag oppression. After Ren returned to Middle-earth in T.A. 1050, he returned to his volcano, which he expanded into an underground citadel. From there, he once again started subjugating the tribes. He had achieved this by T.A. 1264. The two periods during which Ren reigned in Chey Sart, from T.A. 1264 to 1640 and from T.A. 2063 to 2941 were times of prosperity and expansion for the Chey.[2]
