Fourth Age 11 (abbreviated to Fo.A. 11 or F.O.) is the 11th year of the Sun of the Fourth Age of Middle-earth. Unless otherwise stated, Tolkien Gateway follows Shire usage in Appendix B for reckoning Fourth Age years: Fourth Age 11 was also known as S.R. 1432 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- Birth of Hamfast Gardner, seventh child and fourth son of Samwise Gamgee and Rose Cotton.[1]
- Death of Saradoc Brandybuck.[2]
- Meriadoc Brandybuck, son of Saradoc and Esmeralda Took, becomes the Master of Buckland.[2] Great gifts are sent to him by King Éomer and the Lady Éowyn of Ithilien.[3]
