Herumor was a term used by a growing dark cult in Gondor during the Fourth Age, over one hundred years into the reign of Eldarion.[1]
Around Fo.A. 220,[2] a secret cult worshipping the Dark Lord used the term Herumor to denote something of significance. Whether Herumor was the name of a person, an alias, a concept, or even a code word is not known. It is known, however, that the term was used in whispers in opposition against Eldarion in the Reunited Kingdom.[1]
Sometime in the early months of the year 220[2], Borlas of Pen-arduin picked up on the whispers of Herumor from a man named Othrondir. Later on, during a discussion with Saelon in June, he briefly pondered how Saelon had heard the name.[1]
