Hlafwine[1] was a farmhand in a village of Rohan
Hlafwine is an original creation for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers film.
History
Hlafwine was a Man of Rohan during the Third Age. He worked as a farmhand in a village.
Anticipating an attack on the capital of Edoras, Théoden King fled with the Rohirrim to the fortress of the Hornburg in Helm's Deep. When Aragorn reported that Saruman the White had sent a force of over ten thousand Uruk-hai to assail the Hornburg, Théoden ordered every man and strong boy able to bear arms to prepare for battle. Many older men geared up but Hlafwine was too old, even by Théoden's lowered standards. To assist, Hlafwine instead prepared the meals for the defenders of the fortress.
