IMDbProfile

Kiran Shah (28 September 1956[1]) is a Kenyan actor and stunt double. He worked on The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies as a scale double, filling in for characters such as Frodo and Thráin. Due to a hormone deficency, Shah is 4′ 1.7″ (1.26 m) tall, a stature that made him well suited to portraying shorter characters in the films.[1]

Shah portrayed the Goblin Scribe and a burning child in Dale in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and Master Stadle in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.

Quotes

I love working with Ian [McKellen]. I think I got close to him from The Rings, where I had to work with him a lot more than what I've done on The Hobbit.[2]
