Marroc Brandybuck was a Hobbit of Buckland.
History
Marroc was the youngest son of Gormadoc Brandybuck and Malva Headstrong. He had many descendants.[2]
Etymology
The meaning of the name Marroc is unknown. J.R.R. Tolkien noted that the names of the Bucklanders had a vaguely Celtic style.[3]
A Kngiht of the Round Table named Marrok is mentioned in Malory's Le Morte Darthure.[4]
