Miniature Figurines, better known as Minifigs, was a British company which produced metal figurines for wargaming.[1]
It released an unlicensed line of Lord of the Rings miniatures in 1973 titled Mythical Earth.[1] This was one of the earliest lines of fantasy miniatures for wargaming. In the August 1973 issue of Airfix Magazine, the models were announced plainly as “Middle Earth” figures and sent as such to the magazine.[2]
The American company Heritage Models began as an importer of MiniFigs miniatures.[1]
