nor- is a verb meaning "run" or "leap" (of men and animals using legs: not of fluids etc.) in both Quenya and Sindarin.[1]

  • norta- = "make run, specially used of riding horses or other animals" with form nortanen "I rode"
  • norie, norme = "race, running"

  • onur = pa.t. "ran"
