Poems and Stories is a book first published in 1980. It reprints several works by J.R.R. Tolkien: The Adventures of Tom Bombadil, "The Homecoming of Beorhtnoth Beorhthelm's Son", On Fairy-Stories, Leaf by Niggle, Farmer Giles of Ham, and Smith of Wootton Major. The book was illustrated by Pauline Baynes.[1]
A new hardback edition of Poems and Stories was published by HarperCollins in 1992 (ISBN 0261102907),[2] and by Houghton Mifflin in 1994 (ISBN 0395689996),[3] with cover art by Alan Lee.
