I propose that thus page could include the term Shire-thain somewhere on it since it is mentioned in the appendices, is shorter to type, and sounds more formal. More importantly, however, it is consistent with the other “Shire-“ terms: Shire-buildings, Shire-calendar, Shire-fashion, Shire-folk, Shire-historians, Shire-holidays, Shire-hobbits, Shire-lore, Shire-moot, Shire-muster, Shire-reckoning, Shire-reform, Shire-services, Shire-speech, Shiretalk, Shire-water, and shire-words. In earlier drafts, there was Shire-borders, Shire-houses, Shire-fork, Shire-king, Shire-like, Shire-map, Shire-name, Shire-rats, Shire-records, Shire-reeve, Shire-usage, and Shire-years.Dour1234 (talk) 08:42, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
