The Gryphon, first established in 1897, was a magazine produced by the University of Leeds. Several issues contain poems by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Vol. 4. No. 3. Leeds University. This issue contains the poem The Clerkes Compleinte (p. 95), signed N.N.,[note 1] and written by J.R.R. Tolkien.
January 1923
Vol. 4. No. 4. Leeds University. This issue contains the poem Iúmonna Gold Galdre Bewunden (p. 130), written by J.R.R. Tolkien.
June 1925
New Series: Vol. 4. No. 6. Leeds University. This issue contains the poem Light as Leaf on Lindentree (p. 217), written by J.R.R. Tolkien.
