The Lord of the Rings is a 1989 three issue comic book series, illustrated by Spanish artist Luis Bermejo, with the story adapted by Nicola Cuti.^[1] It was published in several European languages, but not in English, likely due to copyright issues.^[2]

The Dutch version states that these were based on the 1978 film, and like that adaptation the story ends halfway through The Two Towers.^[2]^[3]
