The Stone-eaters was a book written by Michael George Ramer of the Notion Club[1]
History
At some point in time many years prior to 1987, Ramer wrote an opening scene to the book that he would later name The Stone-eaters. The scene was about "a great morain high up in the barren mountains" that was somehow connected to a Glacier-foot.[1]
and the chief difference (since both were now inner) is that the one is tinged with sadness for it is past, but the other, the Glacier, is not so tinged, has only its own proper flavour, because it is not past or present with reference to the world.
