Marta Nael is a Spanish illustrator. As a Magic: The Gathering artist, she created art for the Tales of Middle-earth and The Hobbit expansions.[1][2][3]
In May 2026, an illustration of the One Ring created by Dan Frazier for The Hobbit expansion was found to have been plagiarized from an earlier illustration by Nael, which was later confirmed by both the artist and Wizards of the Coast.[2][3]
