"No More Despair" is the twenty-fifth scene of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and the thirty-second scene of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (extended edition).

Synopsis

As Éowyn stands watching the sunrise, Théoden comes towards her and tells her that she will take up his seat in the Golden Hall if the coming battle is not won by Men. "What other duty would you have me do my lord?" she asks him. He holds her head in his hands and reassures her that it is not a duty. He wishes she would smile and tells her she will live to see the renewal of days where there will be "no more despair".
