Anthony Gervase Mathew (14 March 1905 – 4 April 1976) was a fellow Inkling with J.R.R. Tolkien. He was a Dominican priest and lecturer in Byzantine studies at the University of Oxford.
In late 1949 he introduced editor Milton Waldman to Tolkien.
