Spelling of Helcaraxë
The article on Helcaraxë deals with the etymology of the term, which references the earlier spelling "Helcarakse". I think this article, despite the redirect, should reference Helcaraxë explicitly. - Hi Bunt! Thank you so much for your contributions to TG, we're glad to have you here! This article is actually one of the special cases that deals with a concept only found in an early version of the legendarium, so the terms associated with that time period, such as "Noldoli" for the Elves that became the Noldor in later writings, are used in the main body of the article (the newer spelling Helcaraxë is referenced in Other versions of the legendarium). You'll see similar older spellings in other articles that deal with a concept from a specific portion of the legendarium, such as Bruithwir. It can get confusing at times, since a lot of the old spellings look like typos (at least to my eye) but it is actually quite intentional! --Grace18 (talk) 13:18, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
