The Hobbit Tarot is a book describing a Tarot deck with illustrations of characters and scenes from The Hobbit. The book is accompanied by deck of Tarot cards called The Hobbit Tarot.
This is the second Tolkien tarot-related collaboration between Terry Donaldson and Peter Pracownik, who also authored The Lord of the Rings Tarot, released in 1997. Unlike that release, The Hobbit Tarot does not feature instructions for a game to be played with the cards.
Synopsis from the publisher
In anticipation of two new feature film releases, enter the world of The Hobbit and allow the powerful imagery of the tarot to guide you through this mystic realm. Following the hero s quest along his many adventures, The Hobbit Tarot helps us understand the meaning of our own life journeys.
