The mention is accompanied by a representative piece of art. A new artist is featured each time the Main Page is updated, being chosen by one of the admins. Unlike the featured articles and quotes, there is no nomination process for the featured artist, as the criteria is not based on taste, but the artist's overall presence throughtout the wiki.
